Making Art Public features a collection of essays by leading Australian and international writers: Nicholas Baume, Director and Chief Curator of Public Art Fund, New York; Nicholas Chambers, Curator of Modern and Contemporary International Art, Art Gallery of New South Wales; Rebecca Coates, Director, Shepparton Art Museum, Victoria, Australia; Ross Gibson, Centenary Professor for Creative and Cultural Research, University of Canberra; Ross Harley, Dean, UNSW Art & Design, Sydney; Emily Sullivan, Curator, Kaldor Public Art Projects; and Australian author David Malouf. Central to the publication is a series of interviews with the Kaldor project artists by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Artistic Director, Serpentine Galleries, London.
