- "In this dreamlike chamber opera, an American couple in Switzerland plans to visit the Villa Diodati, a manor on Lake Geneva, but are suddenly swept into the past-- to the mysterious summer night in 1816 when Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley wrote Frankenstein.
