- Marketing executive and entrepreneur Denise Bradley-Tyson was born on December 5, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to Lacey Bradley and Howard Bradley, and raised in Newark, Ohio. She graduated from Newark High School in 1977, and then from Stanford University in 1981, with her B.A. degree in economics and communications. Bradley-Tyson worked in marketing and communications for HBO and Levi Strauss before earning her MBA degree, in 1986, from Harvard Business School. Recruited by Paramount Pictures to work on production finance for The Arsenio Hall Show, she went on to develop the merchandising strategy for Space Jam while working with Warner Brothers' consumer products. She oversaw audience development for the largest African contemporary art exhibition in Europe, "Africa Remix," while working at London's Southbank Centre, and became the founding executive director of San Francisco's Museum of the African Diaspora in 2005. Bradley-Tyson founded Inspired Luxe, an online curated shopping experience, in 2015.
