Summary

Broadcast executive Princell Hair was born on February 2, 1967 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Bessie Johnson. Hair graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1985, and enrolled in the U.S. Naval Academy where he spent the next four years. Hair was then admitted to Florida International University in Miami, graduating with his B.S. degree in broadcast journalism. Hair's journalism career began as a writer and producer with Miami television stations, WPLG-TV and WSVN-TV. He was then named executive producer for Chicago's WBBM station before he was hired as assistant news director and news director for broadcast stations in Orlando and Baltimore. After serving as vice president of news for Viacom, Hair was appointed general manager for CNN in 2003. Five years later, he was named senior vice president of news operations at Comcast SportsNet. Hair was then named senior vice president of news and talent for NBC Sports Group in 2012.
