- Journalist Caroline V. Clarke was born on December 25, 1964 in New York City. She received her B.A. degree in English from Smith College and her M.S. degree in journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. She began her career as a reporter for the North Jersey Herald-News in 1987, then, the Connecticut Law Tribune in 1988; and American Lawyer in 1989. In 1993, Clarke became a senior editor for Black Enterprise magazine. She served as editorial director of Black Enterprise Books and the Women of Power Summit. She was also general manager of Black Enterprise's interactive media. In 2010, Clarke was named executive editor of Black Enterprise and became host of Black Enterprise Business Report. Her books include Take a Lesson: Today's Black Achievers on How They Made It, What They Learned along the Way and Postcards from Cookie: A Memoir of Motherhood, Miracles and a Whole Lot of Mail.
