- R&B singer Meli'sa Morgan was born on December 6, 1964 in Queens, New York, growing up in the Corona neighborhood. She began performing at nine years old with gospel choir Starlets of Corona. Morgan debuted in 1979 as a vocalist with Shades of Love on the debut single "Come Inside." She sang briefly with disco studio group High Fashion but left to sing back-up with the people such as Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston and Melba Moore. Her solo albums include Do Me Baby (1986), Good Love (1987), The Lady In Me (1990), Still in Love with You (1992), and I Remember (2005). Morgan has writing credits on many of her songs, which were remixed and sampled by Junior Vazquez, Mary J. Blige, and Cool Million. She has collaborated with Kashif, Valerie Simpson, Cheryl Pepsii Riley and Full Force.
