- Actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner was born on August 18, 1970 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended Angelus Mesa Elementary School in Los Angeles, California and graduated from the Professional Children's School in New York City in 1988. In 1984, Warner auditioned for the role of Theodore Huxtable and was cast on the last day of auditions for The Cosby Show by Bill Cosby. In addition to being nominated for a prime-time Emmy Award, Warner won two Young Actor Awards for his role as Theodore Huxtable. He also provided the soundtrack for the 1986 season and directed five episodes of The Cosby Show. Throughout the 1980s, Warner appeared in multiple made for television films, including The Father Clements Story. Warner continued to work in television and film as a producer and director during the 1990s. In 2007, Warner showcased his musical and spoken word talents by releasing his debut EP, The Miles Long Mixtape.
