- Professor Anthony Jackson was born on June 20, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Hughes High School in Cincinnati in 1964, and went on to attend the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his B.B.A. degree in accounting in 1968. Jackson earned his M.B.A. degree in finance in 1970 at the University of Chicago. While at the University of Chicago, Jackson sent a letter to the Booth School of Business leadership seeking support for a conference to examine the position of black MBAs entitled, "The Black MBA- Unharnessed Potential." The conference eventually developed into the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) the following year. Jackson would earn his Ph.D. degree in accounting from the University of Cincinnati in 1985, and went on to serve as an accounting professor at Hampton University in Virginia, Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and Governors State University in Chicago.
