Panel discussion on design for the theater, including the design of costumes, scenery and lighting. Jules Fisher and Eugene Lee, who respectively designed the lighting and sets for the stage musical Ragtime, discuss their experiences on that show. Donald Holder talks about his lighting for the Broadway production of The lion king. Mary Peterson, who assisted Julie Taymor in the design of costumes for that show, discusses their work. Cast member Meena T. Jahi models her costume from The lion king, and discusses the challenges involved in wearing it onstage while performing.
