Summary
Based on the events of April 26, 1985. Soviet prisoners of war revolted at camp Badaber, near Peshawar, Pakistan. Outnumbered, the 12 Soviet soldiers fought the Afghan Mujahideen and Pakistani army units to escape, but were ultimately killed in the ensuing siege and destruction of the prison. The ordinary Soviet soldiers, by choosing to die in battle to escape their prison, were able to preserve for themselves the honor of the Russian soldier.
