- Video footage of Stella Adler's acting class at the Conservatory of Acting West. Features scenes performed by students, including sequences from Arthur Miller's All my sons, Oscar Wilde's The importance of being earnest, the stage adaptation of Herman Melville's Billy Budd by Louis Coxe and Robert Chapman, and Frank Wedekind's Lulu. Adler interjects with comments and critiques. The actors in the aforementioned scenes are not identified. A scene from Richard Nash's The rainmaker is performed by Judge Reinhold and May Quigley.
