  • Margaret D. Andrews is a photographer from Hartford, Connecticut. While in college to take pre-med studies, Andrews's interest in photography prompted her to quit school to work as a photo lab technician. She would later document the entertainers and artists who frequented the Hartford area during the mid-1980s. In 1986, Andrews enrolled in the photography department at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. She began producing portraits of friends and dancers, as well as experimenting with photo silkscreen, which led to a body of work exploring nude figures as metaphorical images. She has also produced a series documenting children at play.
