- Summary
- In the adaptation of Thomas Mann's classic story, the middle aged writer Gustav von Aschenbach falls in love with the fourteen-year-old Polish boy Tadzio on a trip to Venice. At first the aging man tries to convince himself that his interest is purely in the aesthetic. However he soon falls deeply and obsessively in love with the boy, even though they never makes direct contact.
