- Dennis Morris, born 1953 in Kingston, Jamaica, is an English photographer of African descent best known for his images of reggae artist Bob Marley and singer John Lydon' s bands (the Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd.) during the 1970s. In 1979, he became art director at Island Records, designing album covers for the label's roster of artists. Morris has continued to photograph musicians for over 30 years. His documentary works have been exhibited and published, which include the series "Growing Up Black" (2012) about Caribbeans living in Hackney, East London during the 1970s; "Southall: A Home from Home" (1999) depicting the large Asian community of West London in the 1970s; and "Dreamtime: an Aboriginal Experience" (2005) about the Mowanjum Aboriginal people in northwest Australia.
