Depictions of the exterior views of African American Protestant church buildings in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., in 1989, consisting of oversize prints showing churches from the Baptist, African Methodist Episcopal, and the African Methodist Episcopal Zion denominations, as well as United Methodist Church and Church of Christ buildings depicted and identified on contact sheets. Church interiors, church members, and activities are not depicted.

He received his BFA in design from Howard University (1982) and an MFA in photography from George Washington University (1994). He has taught photography at George Washington University and Georgetown University, and is currently, since 2008, program coordinator of the Photography Program at Howard University. He also operates Boxlight Studios, specializing in gelatin silver and giclee (digital) fine arts photography.
