Summary
Depictions of tent evangelist David Terrell's Worldwide Healing Revival, sponsored by the End Time Baptist Church, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1983, consisting of candid shots and views of revival ministers and followers, who are mostly African American, in prayer, raising hands, in the act of laying on of hands, and during the administration of baptism. Also depicted are a view of Minister Terrell interviewing a follower on stage; views of the stage from the congregants perspective; and views of a woman in religious ecstasy who has collapsed.

  • Mark Peterson, born 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is an American photographer based in New York City. Starting his career in photography as a Minneapolis journalist in 1980, Peterson was a stringer for United Press International in 1982. He moved to New York in 1987 and subsequently worked for Reuters until 1991 when he began working as a magazine photographer. Much of Peterson's work depicts national and local political figures, celebrities, and persons of wealth and notoriety, as well as documenting social issues, local communities, events, and foreign travel. During the 2010s, Peterson has been using Instagram to post his work with such media outlets as GQ, Time, MSNBC and Politico.
