136 pages : illustrations (chiefly color), portraits, music; 21 x 24 cm
Summary
"This publication is based upon the European project MusicaFemina: women-made music, a two-year cooperation of international partners who share visions of gender equality in the music sector. It highlighted the presence and creativity of women composers throughout history as well as facilitated new creations from various musical fields. By exploring feminist topics, the project addressed the need to revise history and urged us to collectively address and change existing structures of inequality. The project brought together an impressive number of composers, artists, scholars, curators, producers and organizers from all over Europe"--Page 4 of cover.
