The collection consists of an undated studio portrait of Lynch (ca. mid-1960s); a view of Lynch delivering a speech, possibly at the NAACP ceremonial dinner for the 100th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, in Garden City, Long Island (1963); a view of Lynch with two CORE workers placing a housing protest sign on the front door of the Suffolk County Center, Riverhead, Long Island (1964); and candid views of Lynch relaxing in the branches of a tree (1965) that were formerly attached to construction paper bearing the words "Our Leader Up a tree -- BUT -- Not out on a limb!" Also included is a studio portrait of an unidentified woman. Depictions of Lynch's personal life, his military career, and his professional activities before and after the early 1960s are not included.
