- Summary
- Sixteen-page pamphlet (ca. 1915) showing the scenic highlights along the recently completed Massachusetts State Highway known as the Mohawk Trail (Route 2). The cover illustration shows a Native American viewing the picturesque scenery,The illustrations are shown two to a page and mimic the size and format of a postcard. Each illustration is surrounded by a single blue border and has a printed title underneath it. Among the many locations depicted are: Deerfield Valley and River; Berkshire Hills; Mount Greylock; Mount Shelburne; Whitcomb Summit; Hoosac Tunnel; Cold River; Stamford Valley; Charlemont Bridge; and the towns of North Adams, Greenfield, and Shelburne (Mass.). Automobiles figure prominently in the illustrations.
