Summary
Consists of 22 sheets of reproductions of black and white line drawings of costumed characters from various dramatic works. Plays include William Shakespeare's King Henry V, King Lear, King Richard III, Macbeth, Merchant of Venice, Merry Wives of Windsor, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello, The Taming of the Shrew, the Tempest, and A Winter's Tale; as well as Robert Bolt's A Man for All Seasons and Ben Johnson's Volpone. Designers include John Boyt, Lewis Brown, Paul du Pont, and David Ffolkes.

Biography
The Eaves Costume Company, founded in 1863, was family-owned and was originally located in lower Manhattan. The Company moved to 151 W. 46th Street, centrally located in the Theater District. It advertised itself as "The World's Largest Rental Costumers" and rented to universities, community theatres, secondary schools, churches, etc.
The costume plots, or templates, were sent to clients to indicate what a given play or musical might look like using costumes rented from the Eaves Costume Co.
