- Summary
- Wendall Harrington, designer of projections for stage productions, discusses her career with interviewer Ted Chapin. She talks about her early professional experiences in photography and advertising, and traces the development of theatrical projections (both still images and video) in such musicals as They're playing our song and The Who's Tommy. She also discusses other projects, as well as her work in the field of ballet. Harrington's difficulties getting into the scenic designers' union, and the lack of recognition shown her field by such organizations as the American Theatre Wing, sponsors of the Tony Awards, is addressed. Harrington also fields questions from members of the audience.
