- Summary
- Don Francisco de Quevedo was a high-level character during the Spanish Golden Age. His complex literary vision, sometimes sublime and spiritual and at others, biting and picaresque has transcended time reaching us in numerous texts. In the Consultation of the Cats written around 1606, our author manifests a strong critical sense towards the society of his time since the cats, identified with their owners, dialogue mocking their habits and customs. This text gives us the possibility of playing, through the engraving with these felines contrasting in a playful way the Quevedian romance with the image of the cats.

- Hand-printed and constructed book. For this book Nacho Gómez Arriola made 19 printed engravings of the original plates on handmade cotton DePonte paper, Fabriano Murillo and guards printed with Thai paper handmade from mulberry fiber. It was composed in movable metallic type and in Intertype by the master Salvador Botello.
