- " ... A set of three [books] on creative music and its related information continuum ... I originally began this series of writings in response to the reality of information surrounding creative music in the early seventies - especially the misinformation that characterized creative music writings in monthly periodicals and newspapers. It seemed to me at the time that the level of accurate commentary had gone from bad to worse, and it also seemed as if the smearing of post-Ayler creativity was more than a series of unrelated coincidences, but instead a co-ordinated attack. My first efforts on this book took place in Paris in September 1973 as a means to challenge what I felt to be deliberate misinformation about black creativity and black creative dynamics ... I now believe that the reality of African and trans-African continuance is being undermined by intepretations that seek to destroy both the dynamic implications of its information nature and the particulars of its affinity dictates."--Page i
