To the honorable, the members of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania : whereas, certain bills have been introduced in the legislature of Pennsylvania to repeal the Act of 1901, which authorizes the publication of official advertisements and notices in newspapers published in the English language and newspapers published in the German language, we beg leave to protest most emphatically in the name of the 189,000 members of the German American Alliance of Pennsylvania against the consideration or passage of any such bills.
