- Summary
- The composer Giuseppe Sarti was employed in Russia from 1784 to 1801. Between 1787 and 1791, he served under Prince Potemkin during the Russian-Turkish war. He composed two Te Deum settings during that time to celebrate his patron's victories. This present volume contains his setting of the canonic Latin Te Deum text.
