Josefina Báez (1960) is a writer, poet, performance artist, multi-media artist, dancer, actress, professor and director of the theater group Ay Ombe Theatre. She has also published Dominicanish, a performance text (2000), Comrade Bliss ain't playing: a performance theatre text (2008), Levente no, yolayorkdominicanyork (2011), As is é (2015) and is included in the anthology, The Beacon Best of 2001: writing by women and men of all colors and cultures (2001) edited by Junot Díaz.
