- Summary
- The Delft artist Theo Jansen (1948) has become world famous with his ingenious and impressive beach animals. The evolution of the beach critters spanned many generations until they learned to survive the storms and waters of the sea. By recreating creation in his own way, the artist hopes to become wiser about existing nature: you encounter the same problems as the real Creator. This book recounts his experiences as God and builds on his previous books. He resumes, deletes and adds. Jansen studied physics in Delft from 1967 to 1975 and then started working as an artist. However, he became famous with his beach animals. Jansen is also the author of, among other things, a regular column in the Volkskrant and the book De Grote Fantast about the development process of his beach animals. In November 2017 he was named Artist of the Year 2018 and in 2018 he received the Haagse Cultuurprijs.
