- "'This Human Church,' copyright 1993 by May Sarton and Susan Sherman, first appeared in Among the Usual Days (New York: Norton, 1993). It was written in November, 1948, for possible use as May's annual holiday poem. 436 copies, designed by John Kristensen and printed at Firefly Press, were produced by William B. Ewert, Publisher, in December, 1997, for private distribution. Of these, 36 copies were printed on special paper and signed by the printer" -- colophon.
