MAC Review documents that Julio Zachrisson (Panama, 1927-Spain, 2021) was a Panamanian artist, a pioneer of contemporary art and an important figure in the development of the arts in the country. He was formed between Mexico and Europe, and developed his artistic production from Spain, without ever losing contact with his native Panama. Julio Zachrisson, an artist between two shores was shown at the Madrid Museum of Contemporary Art between December 2020 and December 2021, it is his most complete retrospective to date, covering five decades of plastic, graphic and sculptural work.
