- 本书对花蓝瑤社会文化变迁进行了研究, 主要通过对花蓝瑤社会文化发展的历史对比分析, 为读者呈现了我国花蓝瑤社会文化的发展变迁历程. 20世纪30年代, 费孝通先生和王同惠女士到大瑤山对花蓝瑤进行调查, 写下了民族学名著《花蓝瑤社会组织》. 七十年后, 作者玉石阶等人沿着费老的足迹走进六巷, 重访花蓝瑤, 希望能对七十年来花蓝瑤社会发生的翻天覆地的变化作一探讨.
