Summary
Homage exhibition commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of artist Rita Longa (b. La Habana 1912 - 2000). Twenty eight pieces selected from her fruitful artistic production and that correspond to the decades of the 1930's and 1940's when a young artist experimented with different materials (gypsum, terracotta, wood, stone) to create her figurative pieces. "The diversity of the materials and the impeccable creativity of her works speak of the absolute domain of the craft and the exceptional talent of the artist, together with a modernity that prevails in all his work" (Our translation)--P. 3.
