  • A literal translation from Camden's Annales, and originally published in 1624. In the opinion of John Scott, of Edinburgh (d. 1903) it was probably published with Camden's sanction, by W. Udall, under the pseudonym of Strangvage, and later, in 1636, under his real name (dedication being signed: W. Vdall) cf. Scott's Bibliography of works relating to Mary queen of Scots, published by the Edinburgh bibliographical society, 1896.
