- Summary
- Four decades of exhibitions of the Galeria Luisa Strina, who maintains a special focus in relation to Latin American artists. Of the 44 artists the gallery represent, 18 are Brazilian, 17 from other Latin American countries and nine are from the rest of the world. "Galeria Luisa Strina open its doors on December 17, 1974. At that time, Brazil was emerging from the period of the "Economic Miracle", when the country achieved record economic growth. Ironically, this time coincided with the so-called "Years of Lead", the darkest period of the military dictatorship () In 40 years, the circuit of Brazilian and international contemporary art radically transformed." --Page 4.
