Op iedere route maakt u kennis met ruim dertig panden die naar ons idee in de Amsterdamse Schoolstijl zijn gebouwd. Per gebouw hebben we een paar basisgegevens verzameld: adres, oorspronkelijke bestemming, huidige functie, architect, bouwjaar en monumentenstatus. We geven niet alleen tekst en uitleg, maar ook foto?s.0De routebeschrijvingen worden vooraf gegaan door een inleiding, een bespreking van de Amsterdamse Schoolstijl en een samenvatting van de specifieke kenmerken van deze bouwstijl. Ook vindt u een hoofdstukje over "De Ploeg" en over de Groninger architect Siebe Jan Bouma. Achterin vindt u nog een literatuuropgave, web en instellingen, bouwkundige termen en een register van straatnamen en huisnummers.
• In this booklet you will find four hiking or cycling routes through the city of Groningen, along buildings in the Amsterdam school style. The booklet provides clear directions, always provided with a map. On each route, you will get acquainted with more than thirty buildings that we think are built in the Amsterdam school style. By building, we have collected some basic data: address, original destination, current function, architect, year of construction and monument status. We provide not only text and explanations but also pictures. The directions are preceded by an introduction, a discussion of the Amsterdam School Style and a summary of the specific characteristics of this building style. You will also find a chapter about "De Ploeg" and about the Groninger architect Siebe Jan Bouma. At the back you will find another literature, web and settings, architectural terms and a register of street names and house numbers.
