Titelgebend ist das US-amerikanische Bettenformat, der den metaphorischen Rahmen für eine umfangreiche Darstellung der Frau aus der Perspektive internationaler, zeitgenössischer Künstlerinnen bildet. Gender Codes, pubertäre Rollenspiele, Männer- und Frauenfantasien sowie religiös legitimierte Gewalttaten akzentuieren die Aktualität und Brisanz von Fragestellungen über Geschlechterrollen in der "Kunst)Welt" des 21.
