"The catalogue 'Wirtschaftswerte / Museumswerte' is being published on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name at the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf at the beginning of the 50th anniversary year of the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf on Grabbeplatz and examines the institution of the museum as an exhibition venue with and without a collection. The exhibition was developed in close cooperation with the S.M.A.K. in Ghent based on the installation 'Wirtschaftswerte' by Joseph Beuys and in collaboration with the artists Daniel Buren, Tony Cragg, Hans-Peter Feldmann, and Imi Knoebel.
