Summary
In the heart of the hills, in Rudraprayag, Uttarkhand, a frequency crackled and came to life on the 21st of September 2013. Community radio, Mandakini ki aawaz is rudraprayag district's first and only community radio station. Through the narratives of the community members and others involved in seing up the station and those involved in its daily activities, the film tries to locate the station in the larger community radio movement in India while also telling the story of the station's own challenges and triumphs - a station by the community, for the community and run by the community's participation.
