For over five hundred years Warbeck's true identity has been the subject of speculation and debate. In this book Dr. Arthurson does not dwell on futile speculation, but concentrates instead on what Warbeck's function was. This, he argues, was to provide a mechanism whereby Edward, Earl of Warwick, could be brought to the throne of England replacing Henry VII as king.
