- Geïnspireerd op het fotoboek 'De Ramp' uit 1953 vroeg Stichting Droom en Daad, onder leiding van Wim Pijbes, aan zes talentvolle, jonge Rotterdamse fotografen om hun stad tijdens de COVID-19-pandemie vast te leggen. Khalid Amakran, Loes van Duijvendijk, Willem de Kam, Geisje van der Linden, Marwan Magroun en Naomi Modde maakten ieder een fotoserie die de ongekende impact van het coronavirus op de stad laat zien. De landelijke maatregelen met betrekking tot COVID-19 hebben grote gevolgen voor het dagelijkse leven. De zes fotografen richten zich op het in beeld brengen daarvan. Dit boek, met teksten van Wilfried de Jong en Hanneke Mantel, is een uniek en universeel fotografisch tijdsdocument over de impact van de pandemie op een grootstad. - Inspired by the photo book 'De Disaster' from 1953, the Droom en Daad Foundation, led by Wim Pijbes, asked six talented young Rotterdam photographers to record their city during the COVID-19 pandemic. Khalid Amakran, Loes van Duijvendijk, Willem de Kam, Geisje van der Linden, Marwan Magroun and Naomi Modde each made a photo series that shows the unprecedented impact of the corona virus on the city. The national measures regarding COVID-19 have major consequences for daily life. The six photographers focus on portraying this. This book, with texts by Wilfried de Jong and Hanneke Mantel, is a unique and universal photographic time document about the impact of the pandemic on a large city.
