  • "The Noise Aquarium project deals with the problem of pollution of the oceans by androgenic noise. Creating the work, the artist Victoria Vesna used 3D-scans of plankton-forming microorganisms obtained with unique scientific imaging techniques to immerse the audience in the 'aquarium' of diverse micro creatures projected as large as whales. The project resulted from highly interdisciplinary artist led effort with biologists, chemists, nano-toxicologists and an animator. Victoria Vesna worked together with Alfred Vendl, director of the Scientific Visualization Lab at University of Applied Arts Vienna, United Motion Labs, NYU Steinhardt, University of Veterinary Medicine Viennaand the Department of Integrative Zoology at the University of Vienna, she developed the Noise Aquarium towards a common goal - to raise consciousness about threats for ocean biodiversity."--www.laznia.pl.
