- Summary
- The Balanz Collection is located in Argentina and has more than 450 works by artists from all over the world. The partners and directors of the investment company Balanz, Isabel Pita and Claudio Porcel, made the first acquisition in 2008 with the intention of investigating the development of an artistic heritage. The collection soon took on an institutional character and opened up to the search for Latin American art, generating a relevant body of art from the region. At present, it is defined as international, having incorporated artists from all over the world, without limits or regional or stylistic parameters. In March 2019, the collection inaugurated a space within the offices of Balanz under the curatorship of Juliana Fontalva and dedicated exclusively to the exhibition of those works considered central. In this space there are visits, events and meetings related to art and also to the world of the capital market. Local and international visits are received daily, both from individuals and from museums, galleries and various institutions. The collection also makes loans to museums globally and has a policy of maintenance and conservation of works, formed by a team of professionals in the field.
