- "The Not an Ostrich exhibition features more than 400 images selected from Library of Congress collections by celebrated photography curator Anne Wilkes Tucker. The exhibit debuted at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles in 2018 and is scheduled to open at the Library of Congress in 2022. Dating from the 1830s to the present day, the images reflect a wide range of locations, demographics, occupations, landscapes, and activities. While many are whimsical, others provoke serious reflection on different cultures and social and environmental conditions, challenging viewers to consider "What are we really looking at?" Not an Ostrich & Other Images from America's Library: The Photo Zine reflects the eclectic and sometimes offbeat nature of the images and inspires further investigation into the Library's photography collections. Following a brief introductory reflection from Tucker, The Photo Zine features more than 100 photographs from the exhibition keenly arranged and accompanied by curious tidbits and compelling backstories"--
