- "This second volume of the monograph "De Chupícuaro a Teotihuacán. Arqueología del valle del río Tigre, Guanajuato" comprises 13 chapters that present the contexts investigated during the work seasons that started in 2010 in the valleys of the rivers Tigre and Lerma, as well as the study of the archaeological materials located during these works. This is a research at the regional level, since it covers not only the lower valley of El Tigre, but also part of the area surrounding the current city of Acámbaro, Guanajuato; The essence of the data offered here comes from the site El Mezquital-Los Azules, located on the left bank of the river Tigre, in the vicinity of the current village of Puriantzícuaro, municipality of Jerécuaro. The extensive excavations that were carried out at this site in 2012 and 2013 yielded a lot of data, not only about preclassical culture. Chupícuaro, but also of the occupations of the Classic period and the relations of this site with Teotihuacán. Stratigraphic surveys were conducted at different sites in 2012, 2016 and 2017, in particular San Cayetano (AC 48) and on the southern margins of Plan de Acámbaro (sitios AC 2,5 y 17), in order to complete the data obtained on the surface and in the excavations carried out in the Tiger Valley."
