Summary

Artist Ana Elisa Egreja (São Paulo 1983) is known for her large scale oil paintings of domestic interiors. During the COVID-19 quarantine (2020-2021) she started working on a series of smaller-scale paintings of soap dishes (the scenarios, as real as they seem, were all invented by the painter), inspired by her earlier paintings of bathrooms, and tiles she has collected over the years. The soap dish series has been published in the present book that presents 31 paintings of shower soap dishes. In addition, the artist painted five more, which were exhibited at the Leme Gallery booth in April 2022, during the 18th edition of the SP-Arte.
