Summary
For the last 30 years the Museum of Anthropology (INAH), as part of its dissemination activities, carries out an offering dedicated to a particular endigena group, this time it will be dedicated to the Indians ngíwà (popoloca) of the community of San Luis Temalacayuca, in the municipality of Tepanco de López, Puebla. The celebration known as Kiéè sen' chu che'én ttjàjna' ngíwà (The commemoration of the dead in the Popoloca town of San Luis Temalacayuca), takes place annually from October 28 to November 2 in the ethnic community ngíwa (popoloca), in the south of the State of Puebla. The ceremonies, which begin Oct. 28 and last until Nov. 1, include "tenates" (baskets), one for each deceased person and adorned with marigold flowers, bread, tamales, fruits and wax candles, planted and made locally.
