Summary
See, smell, feel (with your feet): museum Voorlinden awakens your senses with the new retrospective exhibition of Giuseppe Penone (1947). The Italian arte-povera artist shows the connection between man and nature with his iconic sculptures, immersive installations and intimate artworks. The catalogue contains all the works in the exhibition, including gallery views and sketches by Giuseppe Penone of certain artworks. Each gallery is introduced with a poem by Cees Nooteboom, on which the artist reflects. The catalogue includes an account of Cees Nooteboom's journey through Penone's oeuvre. Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere also gives a special glimpse through the artist's eyes in her loving letter to Penone, full of beautiful associations and references to his work.
