"The text published here represents the first complete edition of E8, and only the third time that the text of a medieval Spanish Bible has been published in its entirety. To increase the scholarly usefulness of this edition ... paleographic transcription of the manuscript and a complete computer-generated concordance to that text are included on microfiches with this book ... Whether E8 once included the books of Genesis and Exodus cannot be determined. In its present form it starts ... at Leviticus 6:8, and presents the rest of the Pentateuch, all the Historical Books of the Vulgate (including two deuterocanonical books, the Prayer of Manasses and III Ezra), plus the first two Poetical Books, Job and Psalms. The manuscript ends at verse 18 of Psalm 70 (Vulgate), and undoubtedly contained the rest of the Psalms"--Introd., p. I, III.
