Summary
The deflection board is an adding machine by means of which the corrections for travel in azimuth during the observation interval and the time of flight, for drift, and for deflection due to wind are automatically added (algebraically), and the total azimuth correction to be made on the gun arm of the plotting board or the deflection to be taken on the sight of the gun is indicated on the proper scale of the instrument.
