- Summary
- Collective Lake Verea is composed of Francisca Rivero-Lake Cortina (Mexico City 1973) and Carla Verea Hernández (Mexico City 1978). They have been working as a duo since 2005. Their practice focuses on the experimentation of photographic techniques and formats to achieve a personal and intimate point of view. They live and work in Mexico City. In celebration of the 85th anniversary of the building and of the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes (Mexico City), the duo Lake-Verea organized a photographic exhibition that presents the architectural details of the beautiful building through 21 unpublished photographs and created expressly with lightjet prints of the main door of the marble building, fragments of the different murals inside, parts of the façade; and details that are high or as part of the monumentality of the walls, windows and doors.
