- This book brings together the conference papers presented within the framework of the International Colloquium Universo Futurista held at the Fundación PROA in April 2010. The three papers that make up this edition investigate the possible legacy of Futurism in Latin America. Each in its own way, Gonzalo Aguilar, Cecilia Rabossi and Jorge Schwartz explore how the reactions and repercussions of this avant-garde movement were felt in the light of the visits of its founder Filippo Tommaso Marinetti to Argentina and Brazil. It is a fundamental contribution that broadens our view of the futuristic universe and consequently unfolds the postulates of a utopia of globalization and speed that changed the history of art.
